Overview

Key metrics allow you to specify a priority group of metrics that will always appear on the platform in certain situations. These are

  • When the key metrics only setting is used on a dashboard widget,

  • When adding new metrics to a Report or Chart, Key Metrics will appear first in the list, followed by metrics that are not labelled Key Metrics.

Making a metric a Key Metric

By default, to configure key metrics, your account must have Admin permissions.

  1. From the top navigation bar, click the kebab menu and select the Metrics item.

This will open a page showing all the metrics that are available to you on your OneUp account.

  2. Click the key icon to the right of metric name:

Or, click the name of the metric you'd like to make a Key Metric, and from the pop out window that appears, find the Key Metric? option towards the bottom.

  3. Toggle this on and click Update to save your changes.

Tips πŸ’‘

  • We recommend making Key Metrics the ones your business cares the most about, or are monitored by the majority of the team. This way, when new Dashboard widgets are configured, these metrics appear by default (using the Key Metrics only option).

  • If you have many parent metrics, we recommend making these Key Metrics and turning off the Key Metric toggle on the child metrics inside them. This reduces clutter in the Key Metrics list.
