Predictive ETA is an advanced feature that provides a dynamic estimated time of arrival (ETA) and estimated time of completion (ETC) times for every delivery assigned to a driver.
Predictive ETAs are calculated for all tasks, both tasks within route plans and directly assigned standalone tasks. This is in addition to the ETAs provided on all active tasks.
For tasks in route plans, ETAs respect the route's scheduled start time. For standalone tasks, ETAs are calculated based on the driver's current progress and task sequence.
Note: Estimated route start and completion times are also calculated for each driver when the Route Optimization feature is used.
Enable Predictive ETA
In order to use the ‘Predictive ETA' feature, the admin user must enable it in the add-on section in the organization settings.
Predictive ETA is available to Launch plans and above while Predictive ETA-based notifications are included in Scale plans and above.
Delay Monitoring
Tasks that have a "Complete Before" time window that has been violated are considered delayed and use the following color scheme:
Gold flag: 1-30 minute delay
Orange flag: 30+ minute delay
Predictive ETA Notification
Requirements: Predictive ETA notifications require the driver to be on-duty with an active live location feed. Offline or no-show drivers with assigned tasks cannot generate predictive ETAs and will not trigger notifications.
An advance Predictive ETA notification is an SMS sent to recipients at a selected threshold between 1 and 8 hours before the task's ETA. Configure this in the Communications tab in Settings
"Delay Is" SMS Alerts
Note: This notification is available to Scale and Enterprise organizations
The "Delay Is" SMS alert notifies recipients when a driver is predicted to arrive later than the task's delivery window. Your organization will have tow configurable settings to control when and for which tasks these alerts are sent.
Access these settings at Settings > Communications > "Delay is":
1. Task Status (dropdown)
In Transit tasks (default): Alerts send only for tasks the driver is actively delivering
Assigned and In Transit tasks: Alerts also send for pending tasks that are assigned to the driver but have not been started yet
2. Send before delivery time window ends (optional checkbox + minutes)
Off (default): SMS sends immediately when a delay is predicted
On: SMS holds until the specified number of minutes before the task's "Complete Before" time (configurable: 5 minutes to 4 hours)
