Thanks for helping someone in need!
First off, call person you are helping from the app. Your number is not displayed to the person you are calling, just in case you help lots of people and they all start calling you directly.
Agree a time for the mission that suits you both. Please check you have the details for the Pharmacy/Chemist and the address to drop off to.
Please note down the following:
- Full name
- Date of Birth
- Full address
Please also double check on the call that the prescription is ready to collect! And check with the person you're helping to see if they pay for their prescriptions. Usually the answer is no, but it's always good to be sure.
You can find the number for the person you are helping in the app, under the "Missions" tab.
At the pharmacy/chemist all you need is the name and address of the person you are collecting for.
Once you've collected the medication, drop it through the letter box or front door. Again, address details are on the app, but please double check these when you call.
After you drop off, give the person you've helped a call to let them know it's there, or ring the bell/ knock on the door if the package is too large to post through the letterbox. Please remember to wash your hands before heading to the chemist and to step back at least 2 metres or further after dropping the shopping at the front door.
If the person you’re helping lives in a block of flats you can take it up to their door . You may need to call the person you are helping to let them know that they’ll need to let you into the block.
Lastly: hit COMPLETE in the app to let us know you're all done!
There’s a lot we still don’t know about Coronavirus but it’s very clear that maintaining good hygiene is critical. If you’re one of the lucky ones that has managed to get some hand sanitiser before they all flew off the shelves then great, use that before you drop the shop off! And please be sure to take your shoes off when you enter the home if you are required to do so.
Here’s a handy video on hand washing in case it's useful.
Any questions please let me know and thanks for your support!
