Finding out which students are receiving D's and F's, or any other grade, will help you keep up with students who may need academic intervention. The Grade Report identifies students who have received specific grades in their progress reports and is a great tool to identify students who are missing grades.

This report looks through progress grades published by teachers and will be as up-to-date as the most recently published grade information so families can stay on top of their student's progress.

To get started, log in to jmc Office and head to Grading > Reports > Grade Report-Progress Reports.

Step One: Select the grading term(s) to be included in the grade report under the "Grades For" list.

Helpful Tip: To select multiple terms, hold down the Ctrl key (Windows) / Command key (Mac) while clicking a term. Deselect a term by holding down the Ctrl key (Windows) / Command key (Mac) while clicking a term.

Step Two: Select the range of grade levels that are to be included in the report using the "From Grade" and "To Grade" drop-down lists.

Step Three: Select a radio button from the "Order" box to choose the order in which the report is to be printed.

  • By Student: show the students in alphabetical order, along with their student ID, grade level, grade received, course name, course number, period number, and teacher name.

  • By Teacher: show the students in alphabetical order, along with their student ID, grade level, grade received, course name, course number, period number, and teacher name with the information for each teacher on separate pages.

  • By Advisor: group students by their advisor.

  • Activity: group students by activities in which they participate.

  • All: include all students for the selected grade values.

Step Four: Click the "One Student Per Page" checkbox if you plan to distribute the report to students.

Helpful Tip: Each student's information will be on a new page -- perfect for passing out to families.

Step Five: Select the letter grades to be included in the report by clicking the grade(s) in the "Grade Values" list.

Helpful Tip: When looking for incomplete or missing grades, select the "None" option and "I" (incomplete) grades.

Step Six: Click the "Preview" button to view the students who have the specified grades.

Step Seven: Click the percentage and grade link for a particular student in the "Present Grade" column to view their detailed progress report for a class.

Step Eight: Click the student’s name link under the "Grade Report Student" column to view the online progress report for all of the student's courses.

Step Nine: Click the link under the "Email" column to email the student's teacher.

Step Ten: Click the "Print" button to print the report for future reference or click the "Export" button to export the report information to a CSV file.
