Strengthen the security of your student schedules after completing the scheduling process by utilizing jmc Office's schedule locking options. Locking schedules will prevent the ability to bulk load courses, run the scheduling aid, schedule students, and drop courses for the specified term, allowing you to continue to work on upcoming schedules without fear of accidentally overwriting existing student schedules.

To lock schedules for a specific term, log in to jmc Office and navigate to Schedules > Develop > Locking Options.

Step One: Select a radio button from the "Lock" box to lock student schedules associated with a specific term.

  • All Schedules for the Year: locks all schedules preventing the bulk loading or the dropping of courses

  • Semester 1 Schedules Only: locks semester 1 schedules while allowing you to continue to work on semester 2 schedules

  • Trimester 1 Schedules Only: locks trimester 1 schedules while allowing you to continue to work on trimester 2 and 3 schedules

  • Trimester 1 and 2 Schedules Only: locks trimester 1 and 2 schedules while allowing you to continue to work on trimester 3 schedules

  • Don't lock any schedules: leaves all schedules unlocked allowing you to bulk load, schedule students and drop courses freely

Step Two: Reach out to jmc tech support through the in-app help widget or call 800.524.8182 to obtain your school's access code.

Step Three: Enter your school's access code provided by jmc tech support in the "Access Code" field to consent to a status change.

Step Three: Click the "Lock" button to update the locked status of student schedules.
