The "For A Period" attendance report in jmc Teacher displays a list of students that have been absent or tardy for a specific period in your schedule along with the reason for the absence to help you identify the root cause of attendance issues that might be impacting student growth. Select a course, date range and reason(s) for absences and tardies to stay on top of attendance behaviors that impact everything from lesson planning to assessing students.

To run an attendance report for a period, log in to jmc Teacher and head to Classroom Attendance > Reports > For a Period.

Step One: Select the appropriate term from the "Term" drop-down list narrow the range of courses/periods to a specific term.

Step Two: Select a course/period from the "Courses" drop-down list to run an attendance report for the specified period in the selected term.

Step Three: Select the range of attendance dates to be included in the report from the "Day From" and "Day To" boxes.

Step Four: Click the absence or tardy reason in the "Reasons" box or hold down the Ctrl key (Windows)/ Command key (Mac) while clicking multiple reasons to narrow absences to those with specified reason(s).

Step Five: Click the 'Preview' button to access a list of period absences or tardies, along with the reasons for the absences, for students enrolled in the selected course within the specified date range.

Step Six (optional): Click the "Print" button to print or save the attendance report as a PDF for the specified course.
