An ISASP (Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress) file contains student data required for registering new or existing Iowa students in Pearson Access Next for ISASP testing. Extracting this file from jmc Office is a straightforward process—simply select the student(s) you want to register and click a button to generate the file. Importing the ISASP file into Pearson Access is the first step in getting your school ready for ISASP testing!
Navigate to Grading > Test Scores > ISASP File Extract in jmc Office to create your ISASP student file.
Step One: Choose the "All Students," "New Students," or "Random Student" radio button to select the student file(s) for export.
Fun Fact: To extract a file for an individual student, select "Random Student" and enter the student's name in the "Find" field.
Step Two (optional): Place a checkmark in the "Include Inactive Students" checkbox to include inactive students in your export if needed.
Step Three: Click the "Start Export" button to generate the student file for ISASP testing.
Helpful Tip: Do not open the exported file before uploading it to Pearson Access, as this can corrupt the file and make it unusable.
Step Four: Follow the Pearson Access instructions for importing your jmc ISASP export file to complete the process of entering your students into the testing site.
