Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs that qualify for Carl D Perkins grant funding require specific program and course codes to track and report data to the state. Assigning these codes to your jmc courses is a simple process. By accessing the Carl Perkins Program/Course Codes page in jmc Office, you can easily associate Perkins program codes and course codes with your CTE courses. Simply locate the desired courses, edit the codes accordingly, and save your changes.

To add your Perkins codes to CTE courses in jmc Office, head to Minnesota > Perkins > Carl Perkins Program/Course Codes.

Step One: Select the "Course Number" or "Course Name" radio button to list jmc courses according to your preference for locating CTE courses associated with your school's Perkins program.

Step Two: Click the "Edit" link next to the course name to edit the program or course code for the selected course.

Step Three: Enter the Perkins program code in the "Program Code" field to associate a CTE program with the selected course.

Step Four: Enter a Perkins course code in the "Course Code" field to specify the type of CTE course for state reporting purposes.

Fun Fact: Upon entering a "Program Code" and "Course Code", the name of the corresponding state provided CTE program and course will appear in the "Pathway Title" and "Course Title" list for easy reference.

Step Five: Click the "Update" link to save your changes or click the "Cancel" link to discard changes.

Step Six: Click the "Print" button to save a PDF or to print a copy of your list, including the program and course codes.
