Easily import, store, and organize ACT scores, making them accessible to school staff and families. Download your CSV results file from ACT, import it into jmc Office, and generate insightful reports or include results on student transcripts—supporting college admissions while keeping all key data in one convenient location.
Navigate to Grades > Test Scores > Import Test Scores in jmc Office to begin.
Step One: Select "ACT - CSV" from the "Test Category" drop-down list to access ACT import options.
Step Two: Place a checkmark in one or more of the following "Score Types" checkboxes to include in your import.
Scaled Score: a score between 1 and 36 for each of the four subtests
State Rank: the percentage of recent high school graduates in the student's state with scores equal to or lower than the student's
US Rank: the percentage of recent high school graduates in the United States with scores equal to or lower than the student's
Subtest Scores: performance in one of the four tested sections (English, Math, Reading, Science)
SuperScores: the average of the student's highest subject scores (Math, Science, Reading, English) across all test attempts
Step Three: Place a checkmark in one or more "Criteria for Matching" checkboxes—such as First Name, Last Name, and/or Birth Date—to sync data.
Fun Fact: The "Student ID" checkbox is disabled because ACT score reports do not include jmc Student IDs.
Helpful Tip: For the most accurate import, review the "Instructions" section below the matching criteria checkboxes for best practices, and select multiple criteria to ensure the ACT data aligns with the corresponding fields in jmc Office.
Step Four: Click "Choose File" and select the downloaded CSV file from your computer.
Helpful Tip: Avoid opening the file sent by the testing company to prevent corruption that could disrupt the import process.
Step Five: Click "Start Import" to begin importing ACT data.
Fun Fact: After the import is complete, a summary report will display the number of records imported, records with "unknown" test/subtest names, records with multiple matches, and duplicate records already in jmc. This helps verify your data's accuracy and highlights any issues that may require attention.
Step Six: Click "Print Import Summary" to save a copy for your records, or click "Cancel Import Summary" to return to the "Import Test Scores" page.
Helpful Tip: Repeat this process as needed to import all data without duplicating records.
