Schools use a variety of terminology such as "Power Standards", "Priority Standards" or "Learning Targets" when referring to the components of Competency-Based Grading. In jmc Office, easily change the "Assessment Area" and "Formative Assessment" gradebook labels to match your school's terminology set and help administrators and teachers get on the same page with your implementation of CBG practices.

Log in to jmc Office at the district level and go to File > Online Settings to change the labels teachers see in their Competency-Based Gradebooks.

Step One: Click the "Teacher" tab to access district-level settings for jmc Teacher.

Step Two: Enter your school's preferred terminology in the "Assessment Area" field to change the label displayed on CBG gradebooks in jmc Teacher.

Fun Fact: An "Assessment Area" is typically the larger category (for example a "domain" or "priority standard") used to organize the concepts or skills teachers are assessing.

Step Three: Enter your school's preferred terminology in the "Formative Assessment" field to change the label displayed on CBG gradebooks in jmc Teacher.

Fun Fact: A "Formative Assessment" is typically the concept or skill that teachers are assessing throughout the term.

Step Four: Click the "Save" button to update CBG terminology displayed in jmc Teacher.
