jmc Office provides a great tool for communicating student progress toward graduation with the Credit Check Detail report. View credits earned by a student as well as deficiencies in each subject area. Print and share reports to get out in front of issues that may prevent a student from graduating on time.

To run a credit check for a student, log in to jmc Office and head to Grading > Credit Checker > Credit Check Detail for a Student.

Step One: Select a radio button from the "Select" box to indicate the students to include in the credit check. Then fill out the appropriate fields highlighted below.

  • By Sequential: enter a range of student IDs in the "From" and "To" fields

  • By Random: select one or more students by entering their name or student ID in the "Find" field and selecting their name from the list

  • By Grade: enter a grade level range in the "From" and "To" drop-down lists

  • By Advisor: enter a range of advisor numbers in the "From" and "To" fields

Step Two: Place a checkmark in the "If Required Credits Met, Move Additional Credits to Elective Credit" checkbox to count any additional subject area credits above the required credit amount as elective credits towards graduation for the student.

Step Three: Click the "Preview" button to view the credit check details for the specified student(s).

Helpful Tip: Address deficiencies in underclassmen by setting graduation requirements for all grade levels in order to display the Credit Check Detail for students in all grade levels.

Fun Fact: The "Credit Check Detail for a Student" report displays the credits a student has earned in each subject area, as well as required credits, pending credits, and any deficiencies in a subject area.

Step Five: Click the "Print" button to print the credit check detail to give to the specified student.
