Teachers utilizing the Flex Scheduler as their MTSS solution often find that they are frequently requesting the same group of students for every offering. The "Student Rosters" feature in the Flex Scheduler gives teachers the ability to build and save frequently used rosters to use on future offerings. Efficiently target frequently used groups of students in need of enrichment or support with the flex scheduler in jmc!

In jmc Teacher, head to Edit > Flex Schedules to save a roster for reuse.

Step One: Click a period in the "Flex Times" box to access your offerings and edit rosters.

Step Two: Click the "Student Rosters" link to the right of the "My Offerings" box to create or edit a roster for reuse.

Step Three: Select a roster from the "Rosters" drop-down list to edit an existing roster or select the "<Create New Roster>" option to build a new roster.

Step Four: Enter the name in the "Name" field to associate with the group of students on your saved roster.

Step Five: Select one of the following radio buttons to narrow the range of students in the "Available Students" box:

  • Grades: View students in a grade range as specified with "From Grade" and "To Grade" drop-down lists.

  • Courses: View students of a specific course that you teach.

  • Advisees: View students assigned to you as an advisee.

Step Six: Click a student's name from the "Available Students" box to select them for your roster.

Helpful Tip: Accidentally add a student to the roster or need to remove a student from an existing roster? Simply click their name from the "Students In Roster" list to move them back to the "Available Students" list.

Step Seven: Click the "Save" button to save your roster for reuse or click the "Close" button to return to the previous page.

Helpful Tip: Add students from your saved roster to an offering on the "Edit Offering" page to quickly add frequently requested students to an offering.
