Maintain web security for your jmc user groups by setting password strength requirements and enabling two-factor authentication in jmc Office. Simply set alphanumeric, special character and upper and lower case requirements to strengthen user passwords and add an extra layer of protection for office users and teachers by enabling two factor authentication. Protect against unauthorized access to jmc by establishing strong password requirements and enabling two-factor authentication.

To customize password settings and enable two-factor authentication, log in to jmc Office and head to File > Application Security and click the “Password Security” tab to view security settings.

Step One: Choose the portal from the "Application Settings" drop-down list to adjust security settings for the users within that group.

Step Two: Select the minimum number of password characters as well as the required numeric, upper and lower case, and symbol characters from the appropriate drop-down lists to set your password security requirements.

Step Three (optional): Place a checkmark in the "Activate Two-Factor Authentication" checkbox to require jmc Office/Point of Sale and jmc Teacher users to authenticate their identity through the use of both a password and email.

Helpful Tip: Ensure all jmc Office and jmc Teacher accounts contain valid email addresses for identification purposes prior to enabling two factor authentication.

Step Four (optional): Select a time from the "Two-Factor Authentication Token Expiration" drop-down list to permit jmc Office/Point of Sale and jmc Teacher user access from an authenticated browser for a period of time before requiring re-authentication.

Fun Fact: With two-factor authentication enabled, users will be required to verify their identity using a code that will be emailed upon logging in to jmc from an unidentified browser.
