Incident Dialer

  1. Incident Division(s)

    1. Division(s) responsible for taking care of the incident you are creating.

      1. Example - Fire Department & Medical for a Fire/Smoke incident.

  2. Incident Type (MANDATORY)

    1. What is happening? Choose the incident type that best describes the situation, and remember you can use the 'Description' field to provide additional, clarifying details.

      1. Types are auto-prioritized by the system, but users can still prioritize them themselves by clicking the priority buttons at the bottom of the dialer prior to ticket creation.

  3. Incident Source

    1. How'd you hear of this information? Radio, social media, personal conversation from a co-worker?

  4. Incident Zone (MANDATORY)

    1. Where is this happening? Select from the list of zones created by your admin prior to the event. These locations are GPS accurate and can be precisely moved via 'Mark Precise Location' (highlighted when a zone is selected).

  5. Location Details

    1. Free-text area to add any additional, pertinent location information to assist responding staff in locating the scene.

    1. 3rd party mapping service - divided the world into 3 meter squares and gave each square a unique combination of three words. Easy way to find and share exact locations. (Will replace Incident Zone/Details w/ Information)

  6. Reporting Department

    1. Who is providing this information? Input their department to help dispatchers easily find additional details if needed.

  7. Description (MANDATORY)

    1. Free-text area for any additional information not captured in other incident dialer fields. Descriptions can be easily updated in the table view after creation, allowing multiple users to continually add or update incident-related information.

Once all mandatory fields are complete, the blue 'Submit' button will appear in the bottom-right corner, allowing you to create the ticket.
