Op 36 has two account types — Family Admin and Junior Golfer. Understanding the difference helps you make sure every account is set up correctly.
What's the Difference?
Family Admin — the account manager for the family. Gets all email communication from Op 36 and the coach. Logs in with an email address. Must be at least 13 years old.
Junior Golfer — typically a child's account. Logs in with a username instead of an email address. Account is managed by the Family Admin.
When You Might Need to Switch
A junior golfer wants to receive email notifications and needs a Family Admin account.
A child was accidentally set up as a Family Admin.
An adult was accidentally set up as a Junior Golfer.
How to Change Account Type (Web App)
Good to know: You can only change account types by logging directly into the user you want to change. This means Family Admins can not change a Junior Golfers account type without first logging into the Junior Golfers account directly.
Log into the web app with the account you want to update and go to Edit Account.
Click the link under Account Type. This will take you to your Golf Genius profile.
Under your email, you'll see an option to Switch to Username (changes Family Admin to Junior Golfer) or Switch to Email (changes Junior Golfer to Family Admin).
Make your selection and save. Your account type will update in Op 36 automatically.
How to Change Account Type (Mobile App)
1.) Log into the mobile app with the account you want to update.
Family Admins will go to Manage Families page within profile picker and choose their account and then click Edit Icon.
Junior Golfers will use the More Tab then tap Profile and then Edit Icon.
2.) Next: click the link under Account Type. This will take you to your Golf Genius profile.
3.) Under your email, you'll see an option to Switch to Username (changes Family Admin to Junior Golfer) or Switch to Email (changes Junior Golfer to Family Admin).
4.) Make your selection and save. Your account type will update in Op 36 automatically.
Good to know: Family Admin accounts must be at least 13 years old. If an account is under 13, it cannot be set as a Family Admin.
