Dates 101

Date Templates help automate important deadlines and timelines within your transactions. Instead of manually calculating dates, the system can automatically generate them based on your contract dates and number fields.

Date Templates

Date Templates automatically calculate dates using:

  • A reference date

  • A number of days

  • A direction, such as before or after the reference date

  • Number Field or a Fallback Field

  • Weekend or a Federal Roll

These templates are commonly used for:

  • Inspection Deadlines

  • Financing Deadlines

  • HOA Due Dates

  • Earnest Money Deadlines

  • Closing Timelines

How Date Templates Work

A Date Template uses a starting date and applies a number of days to calculate another important deadline.

For example:

  • Contract Acceptance Date: June 1

  • HOA Due Days: 14

The system automatically calculates the HOA Due Date as June 15.

This eliminates the need to manually count calendar days throughout the transaction.
