There are several ways to assign a contact to a Contact Group. Each option is broken down into sections below. If you need to review a specific section, you can use the quick links to jump to the section you need.
Assigning a Contact Group to a Global Contact
Go to your Contact page and find the contact you want to add to a group. Click on the contact's name to edit the contact.
Find and select Groups to go to the list of Contact Groups you have in your account. Click the name of the group you want to add the contact to and it will appear to the right of the Contact Groups list.
If you ever need to remove the contact from that group, click on the trash can icon.
Assigning a Contact Group to an Individual Property Contact
Go to your Properties page and select the property you want to work on.
Go to the Contacts section for that property and click on Edit next to the contact you want to assign the Contact Group to.
Choose Groups from the list on the left side. Under the Contact Groups list, click on the title of the group you want to add the contact to. They now belong to that group for this property.
Pro Tip!
If you have already assigned contact groups globally, you can skip having to reassign the contact groups to all of the contacts on the individual property. To learn how to bring over the contact groups you assigned globally, continue on to the next section.
Assign a Group of Contacts to Your Property
Once you have your contacts assigned to Contact Groups, you can now assign a group to a property. This will bring all of the contacts in that group into the property.
To do this, go to your Contacts tab in your property and click on Assign Contact Group.
Choose the group you want to bring into the property. This will open the group so you can see what contacts will be added before bringing them on.
If all of the contacts look good, click on the Assign Contact Group button.
You will get a confirmation pop-up making sure you want to perform this action. Click Yes to move forward. All contacts in that list will now be a part of that property.
Please Note:
If any contacts in the Contact Group have a connection, the connected contact will also be added to the property.
