2-factor authentication (2FA) is required for everyone on Openstage. Here’s how it works and how to set it up in just a few steps.

Your account security is important to us. That’s why we use 2FA to protect your artist accounts. Benefits of 2FA include:

  • Protection against unauthorised access

  • Provides an extra security layer beyond your password

  • Helps keep your data and audience information safe

Initial Setup

When you first create your Openstage account, you will be prompted to set up 2FA.

Openstage offers two 2FA methods:

  • Authenticator App - Code provided by authenticator app on a mobile device

  • SMS - Code sent to phone number you have provided

⚠️ We recommend setting up both options so you’re never locked out, even if one method doesn’t work.

Authenticator App

This method requires an external authenticator app for a mobile device, such as Google Authenticator.

Follow the instructions provided in the 2FA setup and authenticator app to add Openstage to your collection of accounts within the authenticator.

Authenticator Login

After you have entered your email address and password, you will be asked for a 6 digit code that can be found in your authenticator app of choice. Correctly entering the code will grant access to your account.

SMS

This method sends a code to the phone number you gave us when setting up 2FA.

SMS Login

After you have entered your email address and password, a code will be sent to the phone number provided. Correctly entering this code will grant access to your account.

Changing your 2FA settings

You can change your 2FA configuration by heading to your email ID at the top right of your screen and clicking 'profile'. You can add/update your phone number and configure authenticator here.
