Editing Users

This article explains how you can edit users.

By the end of this section, you will know how to edit users that are already in the system, as well as make them inactive

  • In order to edit a user that has already been created, go to the user's section and you can either search for the user in the list or manually type in their name in the search bar at the top of the page.

  • From there, you will be able to edit anything you want about the user, like changing their email, editing their tags (if you need a refresher on user tags, click here), changing the spelling of their name, etc.

    • However, it is not recommended that you would create a new user by changing the name of an old user to that new user, rather you should make a new user account, see FAQ for why this is.

  • Once a user is saved, they cannot be deleted (see why in the FAQ, instead they can be made “active” or “inactive”)

    • When a user is made “inactive” their user profile is still seen from the administrator’s point of view, but with a line through it. They also will not be able to access the platform if they are inactive

      • The reasoning for this is that there is data connected to these users, and deleting them would create a whole in the data when it comes to the checklists they have completed
