What is Upsells?
Upsells is a block that displays one or multiple complementary/related products of the main products. Customers can add these items to their cart with just one click, increasing the chances of additional sales.
How to set it up?
Upsell Products
In this section, you can choose how upsell products are selected:
Use AI recommended upsells: Uses Shopify’s algorithm to suggest products with similar attributes.
Related: Default setting of this upsell method, and uses the auto-selected mechanism of Shopify. You can also configure the products using the Shopify Search & Discovery app
Complementary: Similar to related products but displayed differently on the product page. Requires manual setup in Shopify Search & Discovery
Manual: Allows you to configure upsells manually by setting up conditions.
Click "Create Upsells" to add an upsell module. The conditions to trigger upsell products can be All products, Specific products, Specific collections or Empty cart. Upsells products can only be searched for and configured one by one by selecting from the product list.
Advanced settings:
In Manual mode, there will be some advanced settings to show the upsells. For example, show this upsell if any/all of the following match: cart value/cart quantity is equal to/not equal to/greater than/less than/..., or to specific countries.
The maximum number of upsell modules will depend on your pricing plans.
Always show even the upsell product is in cart: The upsell product will still be visible in the upsell block even if the same product is already in the cart.
Limit the number of upsell in cart: When you want to limit the upsell products showing to customers at one time, the maximum is 10.
Upsell Settings
Customize the appearance of the upsell block by adjusting Upsell title, background color, text size and color, and how it will be displayed (horizontal and vertical).
