Understanding the Accounting Dashboard

Tour the Edlio Accounting dashboard cards, cash balances, pending approvals, and month-to-date metrics.

The Edlio Accounting Dashboard provides a real-time command center for your school's financial health. It aggregates bank balances, pending approval queues, undeposited cash/checks, and recent activity into actionable cards.

Edlio Accounting Dashboard metrics and summary cards

💡 Best-Practice Adoption Tip: If your Undeposited Receipts card exceeds your district's cash deposit policy threshold (e.g., $250 or 3 business days), navigate immediately to Receipts > Deposits to build and finalize a bank deposit slip.

Dashboard Metric Cards Explained

  • Total Cash Balance: Displays the consolidated live cash balance across all active bank accounts mapped to your school. Marked with a green Live status badge.

  • Pending Approvals: Alerts administrators to outstanding disbursement requisitions, vendor invoices, or fund transfers awaiting principal or bookkeeper sign-off.

  • Undeposited Receipts: Summarizes total cash and checks received that have not yet been posted to a finalized bank deposit.

  • Outstanding Checks: Tracks issued disbursements that have been printed or sent to vendors but have not yet cleared the bank statement reconciliation.

Activity Feeds and Fund Health

Below the top metrics cards, the dashboard displays contextual reporting feeds:

  • Recent Activity: Chronological log of recently recorded receipts, printed checks, and approved transfers with direct links to view transaction details.

  • Top Fund Balances: Quick-view table showcasing high-volume student activity funds and their current net balances.

  • Month-to-Date Summary: Compares total receipts against total disbursements for the active calendar month, calculating the net financial change.
