What Science Are The Activities Based On?

Each activity is backed by evidence-based research from reproductive medicine, and lifestyle medicine. Whether it’s exercises that improve blood flow to reproductive organs, stress-reduction techniques, all recommendations are supported by studies showing positive effects on fertility and pregnancy outcomes.

The Fertility Coach:

The Fertility Coach activities are grounded in reproductive science, exercise physiology, and mind-body research. They focus on supporting hormonal balance, improving blood flow, and reducing stress—factors that can positively influence fertility and IVF outcomes. Each activity is carefully designed based on evidence-backed methods to create a supportive environment for conception and a healthy early pregnancy.

The Pregnancy Coach:

Dr. Patricia Doyle-Baker is Doctor of Public Health with a PhD in chronic disease and exercise outcomes (Dr. PH/PhD). She is a certified exercise physiologist (CSEP-CEP) and a full professor in the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary, Canada. Prior to this she completed a masters of sport science/exercise physiology and a honors undergrad with B.Sc. in Human Performance at the University of Victoria, Canada.

The Doyle-Baker Lab group uses both field, lab and technology-based biomarkers to study female reproductive health and physiology, injury, and sport performance using mixed method study designs. This training plan is designed to help with being physically active during your pregnancy while strengthening target areas such as arms, lower back and core muscles that may assist with the growing weight of carrying a baby
