OTTO Sport’s integration with USA Lacrosse will require registrants to enter their membership ID during the public registration process. When a program’s sport is set to "Lacrosse", and USA Lacrosse ID validation is required, registrants will need to enter their USA Lacrosse ID to submit their registration for the season. Follow the instructions below to set up and view the USA Lacrosse integration.
Setting up USA Lacrosse ID Validation for your Program
1. Set your program’s sport to Lacrosse:
When creating a new program, select Lacrosse from the Sport drop-down menu.
If your program has already been created, you can modify the Sport by clicking Edit League.
2. Once Lacrosse is selected as the sport for your program, additional optional configurations will be displayed in Program Info. Click Setup > Edit button in the USA Lacrosse Options section.
3. Change the ‘Require registrants to validate their USA Lacrosse ID’ option to Yes: If Yes is selected, registrants will be required to validate their USA Lacrosse ID during registration. The default for this option is set to No.
Note: The 'valid through' date on this dialog displays as the date entered in the Seasonal Dates/Times section in the Season Settings.
4. Once complete, click Save.
Public Registration Process
When the USA Lacrosse ID validation is enabled, registrants will see the following during the public registration process:
1. On step 2.2 of the registration, after selecting the season, registrants will be prompted to enter their 12-digit USA Lacrosse ID. Once the ID number is entered, the OTTO Sport integration with USA Lacrosse will verify their membership status.
2. If the ID number is valid, the USA Lacrosse ID number for the registration, users can proceed with the registration. The integration will validate the registrant’s member status, DOB, and membership expiration.
3. The following will prevent the registrants from completing their seasonal registration:
If the USA Lacrosse ID value does NOT meet the 12-number requirement
If the ID number is not found, registrants will be prompted to create a valid membership via USALacrosse.com.
If the USA Lacrosse member status is not Active or Pending
If the registrant’s date of birth does not match the date of birth for the USA Lacrosse ID
If the expiration date of the USA Lacrosse membership is on or before the season-end date
Viewing a Participant’s USA Lacrosse Information
For any season where USA Lacrosse ID validation is enabled, you can view the collected membership data in the Roster Management view (Reg/Rosters tab).
