eCheck - Types of Failures after Checkout and Actions to Take

Updated over a month ago

These are the two most common types of errors registrants could encounter after checkout:

  1. Insufficient Funds - the registrant can try again when there are funds in their account to cover the charge

  2. Unauthorized Debit - In this case, the registrant must contact their bank account if they want to attempt to use the bank account with OTTO Sport again.

These errors are considered a chargeback. This will cause a fee of up to $15 to be charged to the club.

If the payment is returned with an error or fails, the registrant and the admin will receive an eCHECK failure email and will also be in the interface in the transaction history.

If the funds were paid out, the funds will be debited from the merchant (the club) account via a chargeback record.
