Identify Templates for Department Specific Designs

Updated over 2 months ago

Site Administrators have even more control over how their website content is displayed with the latest WebWriter CMS update, which allows Admins to select which of their site's uploaded design templates to use on each Department and Featured Content view.

For example, a Site Administrator might want to have a unique Tournament Department that stands out from the rest of their website with separate graphics. At their request, a template would be designed by our team of graphic designers and uploaded to the system. The new functionality allows the Site Admins to apply the unique template to desired pages and override the default website design.

From the Add or Edit Department dialogs on the Site Map, Site Administrators can select a new navigation option on the left-hand side of the dialog, titled "Design Templates."

The Design Templates tab displays two sections: the Department Template and the Featured Content Template. Both sections contain a drop-down menu that lists all available Templates that have been uploaded for the domain account.

Once a template has been selected, the Administrator has the option to "Apply to all descendant Departments," applying the template override to all sections under the selected Department or Featured Content area.

Any sub-Department within a Department may override the parent template settings for itself and all of its child Departments and Explicit Content pages.
