To help manage communication preferences and channels outside the mobile app for team members, an option to show/hide their email address and phone number to related team members is available. Contact visibility preferences can be changed at any point and will not interfere with in-app team communication channels such as the team wall, staff wall, live chats, or in-app direct messaging.
Setting Email and Phone Visibility Preferences
Follow the steps below to set your own preferences:
Under My Account view in the Preferences section, set the ‘Display email address to team members’ option and the ‘Display phone number to team members’ option to ON/OFF.
If set to ON, your email address and/or phone number will be displayed on your profile via the Members tab in the Team view.
ON is the default option for both preferences.
If set to OFF, you will be first asked to confirm your selection. Once confirmed, your email address/ and or phone number will not be displayed to team members on the app.
Setting your preferences to ‘OFF’ for either your email address or phone number will prevent related parents, relatives, and players from viewing your contact information. However, related team staff, directors, and full admins of your organization will still be able to access your contact details on the mobile app.
In-app messaging channels will function the same for all users, regardless of contact visibility preferences set by individual team members.
Note: If you are not seeing the preference sliders when viewing a house member’s profile, this means they either have claimed their account or are a Household Admin (HHA). These users will be responsible for setting their contact preferences.
Follow the steps below to set preferences for other members of your household:
From the My Account view, select your Household, then select the Household Member. In the member profile, set the ‘Display email address to team members’ option and the ‘Display phone number to team members’ option to ON/OFF.
If set to ON, their email address and/or phone number will be displayed on the member’s profile via the Members tab in the Team view.
ON is the default option for both preferences.
If set to OFF, you will be first asked to confirm your selection. Once confirmed, their email address and/or phone number will not be displayed to team members on the app.
Setting your preferences to ‘OFF’ for either your email address or phone number will prevent related parents, relatives, and players from viewing your contact information. Behavior of Visibility Preferences for Youth Players
To help safeguard youth players' information, the following measures have been implemented in the mobile app:
If an email address or phone number is present on a youth player’s profile and they are rostered onto a youth-designed team, their contact information will not be visible to any user. The contact preference sliders will appear on their profiles if they have an email address or phone number listed, but this info will never be displayed to users.
If an email address or phone number is present on a youth player’s profile and they are rostered onto an adult-designed team, their contact information can be shown to team members. The contact preference sliders will appear on their profiles if an email or phone number is listed, and the display of this information is managed by the preference sliders. If their preferences are set to ‘OFF’, then no information will be displayed to team members.
Behavior of Visibility Preferences for Household Members
Each household member who has a claimed account or is designated as a Household Admin (HHA) will manage their own email and phone visibility preferences. Household Admins can view non-claimed household members’ contact information, including youth accounts.
