There are several roles that you can choose when joining an OMS: Interprofessional collaborative scenario. These roles are able to do different things within the virtual environment.

Lead role: this is an active participant role with the ability to perform actions and interact with the patient and Assistant in the scenario. The Lead participant is able to prescribe medications, fluids and other products to the virtual patient.

Assisting role: this is an active participant role with the ability to perform actions and interact with the patient and Lead in the scenario. The Assisting participant is able to administer medications, fluids and other products to the virtual patient once these have been prescribed by the Lead.

Observer role: this is a passive role within the scenario which cannot interact with the virtual patient. However, Observers are able to mute or unmute their microphone to communicate with the active participants (Lead and Assisting) and other Observers.

Watch these videos for more detail on the roles available in interprofessional scenarios.
