Step 1: Activate Developer Mode on Your Pico Headset

  1. Turn on your Pico headset and navigate to the Settings menu.

  2. Select "General" from the list of options.

  3. Find "System Version":

    • It might be directly under General, or you may need to select "About" to find it.

  4. Tap on "System Version" 8 times in a row.

  5. Enable Developer Mode:

    • If a Developer Menu appears on the left side, select it.

    • Toggle on the Developer Mode option.

    • Note: If the Developer Menu doesn't appear, don't worry. Proceed to the next steps; Developer Mode may still be activated.


Step 2: Uninstall Existing OMS App (If Applicable)

  1. Check if OMS is already installed on your headset:

    • Go to your apps and look for the OMS icon.

  2. If OMS is installed:

    • Long-press (press and hold) the OMS app icon.

    • Select "Uninstall" to remove it.


Step 3: Download OMS Files to Your Computer

  1. On your computer, download the following files (see above):


Step 4: Transfer OMS Files to Your Pico Headset

  1. Connect your Pico headset to your computer using a USB cable.

  2. On your computer, open "This PC" or "My Computer" and find the Pico device listed.

  3. Navigate to the Pico's internal storage:

    • Open Pico > Internal Shared Storage.

  4. Copy the APK file:

    • Open the Downloads folder.

    • Drag and drop the OMS APK file into the Downloads folder.

  5. Create a new folder for the OBB file:

    • Navigate back to Internal Shared Storage > Android > obb.

    • Create a new folder named exactly: com.OxfordMedicalSimulation.OMS

  6. Copy the OBB file:

    • Open the newly created folder com.OxfordMedicalSimulation.OMS.

    • Drag and drop the OMS OBB file into this folder.


Step 5: Install OMS on Your Pico Headset

  1. Safely disconnect your Pico headset from the computer.

  2. Put on your Pico headset and open the File Manager app.

  3. Navigate to the "APK" section:

    • In File Manager, look for a menu item called "APK".

  4. Install the OMS APK:

    • Find the OMS APK file (it should be in the list).

    • Click on it to begin installation.

    • Confirm any pop-up messages to proceed with the installation.


Step 6: Launch the OMS App

  1. Access the OMS app:

    • Go to your Library on the Pico headset.

    • Depending on your device model:

      • Option A: If you don't see OMS in the main library, navigate to "Unknown" or "Unknown Sources".

      • Option B: If OMS appears in your main library, you can access it directly.

  2. Launch OMS:

    • Click on the OMS app icon to start the application.

    • Note: A warning pop-up may appear; select "Allow" or "Confirm" to continue.
