Certification: Step 2
Updated over a week ago

The second step to Certification is to create a new Badge and assign your Certificate (or parkin pass, drinks voucher and so on!) to it.

💡 You may already be familiar with creating a Badge, but if you're unsure or need a refresher, follow these steps before selecting the ‘Certificate’ tab.

How to add a Certificate to a Badge

  • Select ‘Documents’ from the main menu.

  • Select ‘Settings’ followed by ‘Badges’.

  • Select the ‘Add’ button and enter a name for the Badge/Certificate.

  • Complete the Badge Settings.

  • Select the 'Certificate' tab.

  • Select a Folder, Document and Version to find the certificate you wish to use.

💡 A preview of the Certificate will display so you can be sure it is the correct one.

Custom Email Fields
Tick this box if you would like to enter a custom message for the email that is sent to the visitor . Placeholders can be added to pull through information from the certificate that is generated, for example, Full Name or Team. Doing this can make the email more personal to the visitor and include important detail that they may need.

Placeholders

Any placeholders that you have added to the Certificate will display here.

Do not complete the placeholder
A placeholder can be left empty which will allow the reader to fill it in before their certificate is generated, for example, their full name.

Complete the placeholder
If you have designed a generic certificate you can fill in a placeholder such as ‘course name' which will populate on the document. This can may be ideal for you if you don't have the resources to create several different certificates.

Next steps

Once you're happy with your Badge it can be assigned to the 'Result' of an Assessment.
