From the dashboard, search for the job and click on the won BOM
In the Pricing and Lead Time tab, click on the three vertical dots > export > Job Management
In the Job Management pop up, there will be information that is already populated. Note that fields with asterisk are mandatory fields. If there are any error fields, review the special use cases below.
Special Use Cases and Considerations
Empty Lines → Not accepted in JM
When there are empty lines in Parspec, it’s unclear what to infer to do with that line. Job Management does not allow blank lines, and so if there are empty lines in Parspec the Export to JM feature will show an error message below.
Product lines treated as “Notes”
It is common practice for lines in quoting softwares to be treated as notes, Parspec doesn’t differentiate lines in this way, and so lines treated as notes can cause problems. We encourage for this purpose to utilize “Internal Comments” or “External Notes” columns for each product.
Lines with No Cost
Product lines which do not have a cost or sell price associated with them are not support to push up to Job Management, both are required. Leaving these fields blank for products which are not assigned to a LOT will show an error.
Lots with Products From Multiple Manufacturers
Parspec supports assigning products from multiple manufacturers into the same Lot. This is generally useful for first rounds of quoting from reps which create packages for consideration. Job Management does not support this, and Parspec will ask the user to re-organize the Quotes to have only one Manufacturer Per Lot.
Lines with No Manufacturer
There are no problems in supporting a line with no manufacturer. This will not show up in the Job Management Push Popup (Modal) for mapping manufacturers to ERP codes, and will show up in Job Management with no Vendor.
Options
Parspec will not send line items up that are in the Option section.
