πŸ“š Contents Formatting Overview

Contents formatting allows you to customize how documents are organized and displayed in your O&M (Operations & Maintenance) package. You can choose between two grouping methods: Order by Product and Order by Document.

🧩 Order by Product

  • Documents are grouped by product, following the order listed in the Bill of Materials (BOM).

  • In the Table of Contents, sections are separated by document type, but page numbers reflect the grouping by product.

  • Within the PDF bookmarks:

    • Each product has its associated documents (e.g., data sheets, warranties, installation guides) grouped together.

    • Even if the same document (e.g., a warranty) is used across multiple products, it will appear multiple times, once for each product.

πŸ“„ Order by Document

  • Documents are grouped by document type (e.g., all data sheets together, all warranties together).

  • The Table of Contents still separates sections by document type, and page numbers reflect the document-based grouping.

  • Within the PDF bookmarks:

    • Document types are listed together regardless of product.

    • Shared/repeating documents (e.g., the same warranty used for multiple products):

      • Will appear only once.

      • The associated products will be listed in the document header.
