Use Contents formatting to order your documents in your Submittal or O&M package and select how you want your kits to be displayed. Learn how the contents behavior feature works below.

If you are noticing your uploaded documents are not appearing in your package, please follow the steps below to ensure the documents are not "excluded" in your contents formatting settings within the customize screen.

There are two options to group your documents for your final package: Order by Product or Order by Document.

  • Order by Product: Group your documents by it's associated product and based on the order arranged in your bill of materials.

  • Order by Document: Group your documents by the document type (e.g. datasheets, installation guides, drawings). If there is an identical document to another product in the BOM (same document and annotations), it will only appear once and the associated products will be listed in the document's header.

If you have sections within your BOM, this page break can serve as a good transition to showcase what documents you or your customer can expect to see in the package.

What is Kit Component Breakdown

When you have kits built in your BOM, you can either toggle Show Kit Components on so all component line items will appear in your table of contents or toggle it off if you only want the kit line item to appear. Click here to learn more about creating kits and components.
