How to Include Alternate Products and Prices in Options

Learn how to add alternate products and add/deduct pricing as Options in your BOM and control how they appear on your final quote.

Options let you include alternate products or add/deduct pricing alongside your primary BOM โ€” giving contractors a clear comparison without creating a separate quote.

1. Add a Line Item in the Options table

  1. In the Pricing & Lead Time tab, find the line item that needs an alternate.

  2. Click the three vertical dots (โ‹ฎ) for that product.

  3. Select Add Option.

Note: Add Option is only available for unit priced products. If the item is part of a lot, go directly into the Options table and add the line item manually instead.

2. Enter the Alternate Product Information

  1. A new line will appear in the Options section with the Product to Replace field already populated.

  2. Enter the alternate product's Manufacturer, Model Number, and pricing details.

Tip: If this option is lot priced, enter a quantity of 1 and enter the lot price in the Cost column.

2. Create Quote Including Options

  1. Once all options are added, click Create Quote.

  2. In the Pricing & Lead Time section of the quote customization screen, toggle fields on or off to control what appears on the final quote.
