Custom quote templates let admins define default fields and formatting for quotes โ€” so your team spends less time setting up and more time quoting.

1.Create a New Quote Template

1. Click the gear icon in the bottom left to open Account Settings.

2. Select Document Templates from the left navigation.

3. Click Create New.

4. Enter a Template Name (e.g., "Lighting Default Template").

5. Select which branch(es) should have access:

A. Choose a specific branch, or

B. Select All Branches to make it available account-wide.

6. Add an optional Description.

7. Toggle on any default fields you want pinned to this template (e.g., project name, unique ID, price holds, notes).

8. Click Save Template.

Note: Only admins can create and manage document templates. Users can select from available templates when building a quote.

2.Apply a Template when Creating a Quote

1. Open a BOM and click into the Pricing & Lead Time tab.

2. Click Create Quote.

3. Select your desired template from the list (only templates available to your branch will appear).

4. Pinned fields from the template will appear at the top of the quote.

Tip: Click the pin icons at the top to quickly view changing fields only. Click the three dots (โ‹ฎ) to see all fields and adjust toggles.

3.Push or Pull Templates Across Multiple BOMs

When working with multiple BOMs in the same project, you can keep quote templates in sync.

1. After creating a quote on your first BOM, create a quote on a second BOM.

2. You'll see two options:

A. Push โ€” apply your current template settings to the other BOMs.

B. Pull โ€” import template settings from another BOM's quote into the current one.

3. Select the appropriate option based on which BOM has the most up-to-date settings.

Tip: Use Push when you've finalized settings on your primary BOM and want to apply them across all others. Use Pull when another BOM has the latest changes you want to bring in.
