⚠️ A membership cannot be created without any products. Before creating a membership, please ensure that you have already created a couple treatments inside of the "Products" section.
Log into your Admin Dashboard.
Click on 'App Builder' tab on the left menu on your screen.
Click on 'Memberships'
Click on 'Create a new membership'.
Input a Membership name
Set the price per month (monthly fee)
Please note, you cannot collect any initial form of payment up front or offer for patients to pay in full at this time.
Upload a membership image.
This image will populate on both Membership carousels (home and shop screens) as well as Membership list and individual Membership screen.
Write out the Membership description
Explain the high-level benefits and any potential disclaimers of this particular membership
Set a minimum commitment period
We recommend keeping this between 3 and 6 months for best results!
Sign up bonus
A sign up bonus is an extra incentive to join the membership. For example, "Join our Skinscription membership today for a free Hydrafacial!"
1. Click on "Add signup bonus"
2. Enter a signup bonus description. For example: "Free hydrafacial when joining!"
3. Select whether the availability is "In-App" or "In-Office".
Select "In-App" to make this membership benefit to be redeemable on the app
Only select "In-Office" when the benefit is connected to something you cannot purchase from your app. Example: 15% off all retail and skincare products in-office.
4. Select discount type as "Percentage" / "Set amount off" / "Free service".
5. Select the included product(s) and search up the treatment you'll be making the offer on and click "Save and add to membership".
Membership benefits
Membership benefits are the discounts that are applicable with this particular membership. For example: "20% Off all skincare treatments".
1. Click on 'Add membership benefits'
💡Setting these up will be what creates the backend calculations your non-members will see and your enrolled members will pay.
2. Give it a short description, for example: "20% off all skin-related treatments"
3. Select whether the availability is "In-App" or "In-Office".
Select "In-App" to make this membership benefit to be redeemable on the app
Only select "In-Office" when the benefit is connected to something you cannot purchase from your app. Example: 15% off all retail and skincare products in-office.
4. Select discount type as percentage, currency amount off, or free service from your shop.
It's popular to use currency off for tox services since the price is typically significantly lower than the rest of your service offering. Example: £2 off per unit of toxin.
6. Set up the includes and excludes to determine what this discount will apply to in your Shop
Click 'Include' when you want to include less than you want to exclude. For a discount towards facial services, you'd select the specific facial services from your list and it will automatically know to exclude every other treatment from that discount/benefit.
Click 'Exclude' when you want to to exclude less than you want to include. For a 15% off discount of all services, you wouldn't typically want this to apply to your toxin. You would just use exclude and select all toxin services to ensure they are not receiving this discount/ benefit.
7. Once complete, click 'Save and add to membership' at the bottom right of your screen to return to the main membership build screen. From the main membership build screen, you can click "Add membership benefit" to create an additional Membership benefit if needed.
If you wish to include something you that you don't want displayed in your shop, you can add it as a product, and under "Other options", click "Hide this product from shop". This will not show the treatment in your shop--this is only tied to this Membership.
Included Products
Included treatments are the redeemables you want your enrolled members to receive every month. They are the main services to be claimed every month in your membership offering.
1. Click on "Add included products".
2. First decide whether or not you'd like Treatments to rollover for your Members. 'Treatment rollovers' are whether or not you'd like monthly redeemable treatment to expire or stack on top of one another after the month ends. This means that if the treatment isn't redeemed on any given month, it will 'rollover' into the next month.
3. Decide when you'd want your options to be available. For example, you may not want members to claim a higher end treatment after the first 3 months.
4. Select "Include All" / "Choose From".
"Include All" (as set up in the image above) will give members for example: Get 1 free HIFU treatment every month.
"Choose From" (as set up in the image below) will give members for example: Choose 1 treatment between HIFU or Skin Peeling every month.
5. Click "Save and add to membership".
In-app display
Once you're done, you may optionally add client result before and after photos to add social proof to your membership. Then click "Create membership". Wait a couple of moments for it to display on your patient app.
