How to create or edit a treatment

Updated over a week ago

1. Log into your Admin Dashboard

2. Click on the ‘App Builder’ tab on the left-side of your screen

3. Select the ‘Products’ tab on the top-center of your screen

4. Click on ‘Create a new product

5. Fill out treatment information:

  • Product name (ex: Hydrafacial)

  • Treatment duration (in minutes)

  • Product description (not too long - users usually don't read more than 2 sentences)

5. Include a scheduling link

Include a link URL for your patients to schedule their appointment (your booking page link). This link will be displayed after they purchase. Including a link is optional. Learn more.

6. Include relevant tags

Tags will help your users find your treatment based on their concern. It's also important to add these so your patients can understand the benefits when clicking to learn more about the treatment or product.

7. Select a Service unit type*

*Type of treatment; ex: neurotoxin = unit, body contouring = session, Filler = syringe, etc.

8. Price your treatment accordingly

If priced individually, select "Individually". In this instance, give it a price, and a max quantity (Max qty.). This determines the maximum amount of purchasable units of this treatment in one single purchase. So if you'd only want to restrict your patients to only purchase 1 qty at a time, write "1".

Treatment variations are the options of a 'master' Treatment with different attributes, such as different intensities / tiers, locations on the body, size, or any other specific features.

Selecting 'In Bundles' will allow you to price your treatment based on amount of sessions.

As you can see in the below example, the patient is given the option to choose between 1, 2, or 3 sessions at different price points, allowing them to save money when buying in "bundles" as opposed to buying individually.

Selling your treatment 'In Bundles' allows you to offer your treatments in quantities and prices that offer the best value for your clients.

Simply input the quantity of your selected service unit type (treatments, sessions, units, vials, etc.) and the bundled pricing for each. Here is how bundled pricing could appear in your app:

Selling your treatment 'In Bundles' allows you to offer your treatments in quantities and prices that offer the best value for your clients.

In the image above, you'll notice that the patient will save $100 for 6 treatments instead of 1 or 3. Encourage your patients to buy larger quantities at once by providing bundled pricing!

Selecting 'In Variations' will allow you to price your treatment based on variations of the treatment.

I.e. Laser Hair Removal can have different pricing variations based on the area for which they are purchasing the service for. Or HydraFacials can have different variations by tier (signature, deluxe, platinum).

  • Click 'In Variation

    • Add variation name (ex: Small area)

    • Add price for the variation (ex: $499)

      • This is depicted in the screenshot below!

9. Add an image

If you don't have any product image, check out our bank of HD images.

10. Select a practitioner - who the treatment is with?

It's good to add a practitioner here, as this will create trust with your patient. If you don't see anyone here, it's because you haven't yet added a team member. Learn how here.

11. Add what to expect before / after the treatment

Pre & post-care expectation cards are optional. If you leave them blank, nothing will appear. If you decide to write instructions, they will appear at the very bottom of your treatment's sales page like so:

Example of pre and post-care expectation cards in-app.

12. Add client results

If you don't have any before and after images, check out our bank of HD images.

Before and after results are highly encouraged to show patients the clear end result of your treatment. This how your testimonials will appear in your treatment's sales page:

You can add multiple before/aftes by clicking "Add client result"

  • Click 'Create new product' when finished.

  • Optional: "Cash balance cannot be used on this product" is a margin-protection tool. Toggling this on will mean patients will not be able to use cash balance discounts on this specific product, which is not recommended (you should only toggle this on if your product is under $25 and has low profit margins and you don't want it to be discounted).

  • You may re-order where this product is displayed in the "Treatments" section of your app by hovering over the treatment card and clicking on the button like so, and dragging it to re-order.
