Learn how to create documents in Payroller with our simple guide below.

Step 1: Click on the 'Document' section in the left-hand panel of your Payroller account.

Step 2: Select 'Create' to create your first document.

Alternatively, there is a '+ Create' button in the upper right corner of your Documents page.

Step 3: Click ‘Document’ to create a new document from scratch.

Step 4: You will need to add signer/s to your document. Add the name and email address of the signer/s.

Please note that you can add yourself as a signer to your document if you are an employer and you can click ‘+ Add signer’ if you want to add more signatories.

Step 5: Click 'Next' once the signer/s have been added.

Step 6: Upload your document in PDF, PNG, or JPG format, with a maximum file size of 30 MB.

Step 7: Add text & tags.

You can add and assign text and tags for each signer based on the specific fields you want them to fill out. To do this, select the signer at the bottom of the page.

Step 8: Click Next to proceed to the next step.

Step 9: Enter a name for your document and select a category. You also have the option to include other recipients of your document under the 'Add CC' field.

Step 10: Save as a template or send your document.

If you’re not ready to send your document yet, click ‘Save as template’ to keep it as Draft. If you choose to send the document, click ‘Send’ and its status will update to Pending signature.

After clicking send, it will give you the option to save it as a template. Once your signers have completed signing the document, its status will be updated to Signed.

You can go back to your Documents dashboard to check the status of your documents.
