Once this is completed, you will also need to ensure STP is enabled.
There are two ways to enable STP
Enable STP from a pay run submission
If you have just finished creating a pay run and you’ve pressed submit, the STP declaration will appear automatically. If you have not enabled STP, you will be asked to Enable STP.
Step 1: Select ‘Enable STP’.
Step 2: Fill in your Contact details, including your Signatory name, Email address, and Contact number. You’ll also need to enter your Organisation’s address. Once done, select ‘Complete’.
On this page, you'll also see an instructions on how to notify the ATO about your chosen STP software (Payroller). This will include the software provider's details.
Step 3: The STP declaration will now pop up. Select ‘Report’.
Please wait up to 72 hours after a submission has been made for the ATO to update their systems. If your STP has failed or it has been longer than 72 hours and has not gone through please use the above method to resubmit.
