To send STP data to the ATO, register with the ATO, enable STP, and then submit a pay run.
If you don't want to send STP data to the ATO, you will need to disable STP.
Please note that enabling STP requires you to activate 2-factor authentication.
How to Enable STP
Step 1: Select your company profile in the upper left corner of your screen.
Step 2: Select ‘Settings’.
Step 3: Select ‘Payroll & STP’.
Step 4: Select ‘STP’.
Step 5: Select ‘Enable STP’.
Before submitting to the ATO, make sure STP is enabled and Payroller is registered as your software provider with the ATO.
Ensure the Software ID in your STP Settings matches the one in your ATO Access Manager. Also, verify that the Software ID is linked to the correct ABN and Branch number in both your ATO Access Manager and Payroller.
If you don’t know your Branch number, please get in contact with the ATO for assistance.
How to Disable STP
Step 1: Select your company profile in the upper left corner of your screen.
Step 2: Select ‘Settings’.
Step 3: Select ‘Payroll & STP’.
Step 4: Select ‘STP’.
Step 5: Select ‘Disable STP’.
Before submitting to the ATO, make sure STP is enabled and Payroller is registered as your software provider with the ATO.
