How do I start training in Peak Strength?

How to set up your account and complete onboarding to build your first Training Plan.

Setting up Peak Strength takes about 5 minutes. You'll answer a few questions about your training goals and schedule, and Peak Strength will build a personalized Training Plan for you.

  1. Download Peak Strength from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

2. Open Peak Strength and tap "Build training plan" if you're new, or "Sign in" if you already have an account.

3. Sign up with Google, Apple ID, or your email address.

4. You'll be taken through onboarding to build your Training Plan. Work through each screen in order.

5. Enter your birth date.

6. Select your gym type. Peak Strength uses this to set your equipment so you're only ever prescribed exercises you can actually do. You can adjust your equipment at any time from your Profile.

7. Select your Experience Level.

8. Select your Training Path. You can learn more about each one here:

9. Select your sport, Training Focus, or occupation.

Note: for sports and some Training Focuses, there are additional positions, events, or sub-focuses to choose from.

10. Answer the date questions. If you're training for a sport, you'll be asked about your upcoming season dates — your answers determine whether you start with an Off Season, Pre Season, or In Season Training Cycle. For other Training Focuses, you may be asked for a competition date or your Peak Date.

11. Select how many days per week you want to train and which days.

12. Enter your current performance metrics.

Note: if you're unsure of your numbers, enter what you can confidently complete right now. This helps Peak Strength give you accurate Weight Suggestions from the start. You can also skip these screens and adjust your working sets as you go — Peak Strength will calibrate as you train.

13. Review your Training Plan Overview, then tap "Start Training Cycle" to build your plan.

14. Select a subscription to unlock full access to your training. Peak Strength offers a 7-day free trial so you can try it out before committing. If you're ready to go long term, the annual subscription saves you money month to month.

Your first Training Cycle is ready. Head to your Training Dashboard and start your first workout.
