How do I start training in Peak Strength?

How to create your first training plan and complete the onboarding questionnaire for Peak Strength

Written by Ivan Escott

To create your first training plan inside Peak Strength, go to the Apple IOS Store or Google Play Store and download the Peak Strength app.

Once downloaded, select "Build training plan" if you are new to Peak Strength or "Sign in" if you already created an account.

You can choose to sign up through Google, Apple ID, or by email address.

When you log in, you will need to complete the intake questionnaire to build our personalized training plan.

Start by inputting your birth date.

Select what general type of gym you training at most frequently. This will assign you a preset of equipment (you can always adjust your equipment later). Peak Strength will only prescribe you exercises that you have the necessary equipment to complete.

Select your experience level. This will tell Peak Strength how advanced of training you need.

Select the training path you wish to follow. You can learn more about the primary training paths here:

Select your specific sport, goal, or occupation.

NOTE: for sports and training goals, there may be more specific positions, goals, or events to select from.

If you choose a sport, you will get asked a series of questions centered around your most important upcoming dates for your season. This will determine whether you start with an off season, pre season, or in season training cycle. For other training goals, you may be asked when your next competition is, or simply when you want to be in peak condition.

Select or confirm how many days and which days throughout the week you want to complete workouts.

You will then be asked to input your current performance metrics.

NOTE: If you are unsure about your current performance metrics, input the numbers you can confidently complete at that time. This will help Peak Strength provide the best weight suggestions in workouts. Otherwise, you can skip these screens and you can manually adjust/input your working sets when completing the workouts. Peak Strength will learn as you go.

You will then receive a program summary screen for your new program.

Click “Start training cycle” at the bottom of this screen to build your new program.

Peak Strength requires a monthly or annual subscription to access training, but we offer a 7-day free trial to try out a few workouts before committing long term. If you are committed, we suggest signing up for the annual plan to save money month to month.

Now you have your first training cycle built for you in Peak Strength and will be able to get starting performing workouts immediately!
