Accurate Estimated 1 Rep Max (Est. 1RM) values matter because they shape the weights you're suggested in workouts. Your Est. 1RM and Current Best values also drive the improvement numbers on your Progress tab.
Est. 1RM and Current Best values can not be edited directly. Instead, they're calculated from an average of your most recent history values. Your Starting Best is included while it's recent enough, but as you log more workouts, the calculation shifts to rely on your most recent logged sets. That means there are two ways to keep your numbers accurate, depending on how much you've logged: editing your Starting Best, or editing your logged sets.
If you're new to Peak Strength
During onboarding, you entered Performance Levels for a number of exercises. To edit those values or add new ones after building your Training Cycle:
1. Tap the Progress tab on your Training Dashboard.
2. You'll see a list of your goal exercises (the ones you entered Performance Levels for during onboarding). Tap the exercise you want to change.
3. Tap the "Starting Best" tile. If you didn't set a Performance Level for this exercise during onboarding, the tile will say "Tap to Enter."
4. Enter the new value and tap "Save."
Your new Performance Level is now saved.
If you've logged workouts for the exercise
Because your Est. 1RM averages your recent logged sets, editing those sets is the best way to make a correction. Sometimes a weight gets entered incorrectly and throws off your Est. 1RM. You can either find the workout in your calendar and update the set there, or edit your history directly from the Performance screen.
To edit a logged set from the Performance screen:
1. Tap the Progress tab on your Training Dashboard.
2. Tap the exercise you want to edit.
3. Scrub across the Est. 1RM history chart to find a value that looks too high or too low.
4. Find that same workout date in your history below, and tap the tile.
5. Find the set that looks off, and tap the value.
5. Enter the correct value and tap "Save" in the top right corner.
Your chart and Est. 1RM value will update to reflect the correction.
