How to connect your card reader to your POS
Click>Settings, top right;
It’s in these Payment Settings that you configure your SumUp card reader by entering your SumUp Username and Password which you created with SumUp, here’s how;
Click>Settings
Click>Update checkout preferences>Enter SumUp Username and Password and close;
NB You'll need to repeat this on all of your POS that use a card reader
Issue - Card Reader will not connect?
Go into Bluetooth settings on the iPad - Settings/Bluetooth - turn off and on the Bluetooth.
If the sump device appears there, click the little I and select forget device.
Go back to the TillApp and select 'Update checkout preferences' again.
Issue - Still not working/not connecting?
Can the SumUp card terminal gain access to the internet?
To see if there is an issue with the school's network please connect the iPad to a mobile phone's hotspot and "update checkout preferences" and then take a look to see if the connection is working.
If it does, then you will need to contact your IT person to resolve the connection issue.
