The process below outlines how to bulk increase product (selling to customer amount) pricing by extracting a csv of your products already in the SumUp back office, changing the selling price/VAT etc and then re-importing the products with the new pricing back into the SumUp back office and refreshing this pricing at Till level.

If you need to add a new product please see - Till - Adding New Products

If you need to alter a few prices/VAT please see - Till - Adding Prices and VAT

How to do a bulk price increase/amend VAT

1) Create a csv of your current product pricing;

In SumUp Back office - https://pos.thegoodtill.com/

Go to >Products >Product List >Export CSV;

NB. Save this file and then open the CSV to view the products - at this point, we would suggest you duplicate the file (so you have the original to revert back to should you need to)

Top tip - If you would prefer to amend one price using this method to check the result, you will need to create a CSV as below with just one product in the CSV, you can then overwrite this with the full file once you are happy with the process.

2) Amend the pricing/VAT on the duplicated CSV as required>Save the newly amended CSV with a fresh title that reflects the new pricing/VAT.

NB. If you would prefer to amend one price to check the result, you will need to create a CSV as below with just one product in the CSV, you can then overwrite this with the full file once you are happy with the process.

3) Delete all columns apart from A - 'Product id' which you should change to just 'id' and the column/s you have amended ie. 'selling_price' - this is how your file should look once you have finished amending the pricing, ready to re-import;

4) Re-save the file.

5) Import back into the SumUp back office;

Choose the file that you have just created and upload;

Your Products should now have all been updated to the new pricing, you can check them in Products>Product list

NB. Please remember to refresh the Tills by clicking the logo, top left of the POS to refresh the pricing at Till level.
