Customize Your Search Defaults with Template Searches

In this article, you will learn how to create a Template Search and use it to start new searches with your preferred filters, columns, and display settings already applied.

A Template Search keeps your preferred search setup so you do not have to rebuild it each time.

  • Save your selected filters

  • Save your results column order

  • Save your Map view settings

  • Save your results display settings in Listing view

New searches with template settings

Create a new search and Perchwell applies your template settings automatically.

  • Click New Search icon to start with your template’s filters, columns, and display settings.

  • Click the P icon in the top left to refresh and reset your current search back to your template defaults.

You can adjust filters after you start a new search without changing your template.

Tips

Use these guidelines to keep your templates easy to find and easy to maintain.

  • Keep one active template at a time.

  • Update a template by editing that saved search and clicking Save Changes again.

  • Use clear naming so you can spot templates quickly in the Saved Search dropdown.

  • Remember that templates save search settings, not contacts or client data.
