Sorting Listings on the Search Page

Sort search results by one or more fields to control the order in which listings appear.

What is Nesting Sorting?

Nested sorting allows you to apply multiple sort fields within the Search results page.

Instead of sorting by a single field, you can:

  • Select a primary sort field.

  • Add one or more secondary fields to control how ties are ordered.

If multiple listings share the same value in the primary sort field, secondary sorts determine their final order.

Example:

If sorting by Newest, listings with the same status may appear together. Adding List Date as a secondary sort further organizes those results.

Apply Nested Sorting

Use the Sort control on the Search page to define sort order.

Steps

  1. Go to the Search page.

  2. Apply any desired filters.

  3. Click Sort.

  4. Select a primary sort field.

  5. Add one or more additional sort fields.

  6. Arrange the sort fields to define priority.

Results update automatically.

Common Sort Combinations

Multiple sort fields can help refine large result sets.

Examples:

  • Newest then List Date

  • Price High to Low then Square Footage

  • Price Low to High then Bedrooms

  • Status Change Date then Days on Market

Adjust Sort Priority

When multiple sort fields are applied:

  • The first field controls primary ordering.

  • Additional fields determine how listings with identical values are ordered.

πŸ’‘ Rearrange the sort fields to change priority.

Tips

  • Sorting does not change applied filters.

  • Sort settings apply only to the active search.

  • Saved searches retain selected sort fields.

  • Sorting works independently of filter columns.
