Privileged access levels

Understand the levels of user access in Performance Leader — Regular User, Leadership View, Restricted Admin, and Super Admin — including the key differences between them and how to set them up.

There are four levels of user access in Performance Leader.

Regular User

Regular users have standard access to menu items and can be granted additional access for specific modules, such as external feedback.

Capabilities:

  • Access the same set of menu items across the entire firm.

  • May have additional access for specific modules, such as the ability to create plans.

Leadership View

Designed for firm leaders who need broader visibility, leadership views provide read-only access across specified cohorts (for example, all Partners in Litigation).

Capabilities:

  • Read-only access to data across specified groups. Scope can be further restricted by module (for example, feedback and objectives but not reviews).

  • Cannot make changes to the system or user data.

  • Each user can hold only one leadership view. The title of the view can be configured by admins (for example, "Firm View" or "Practice Group View").

  • A user can hold a leadership view alongside either Restricted Admin or Super Admin privileges.

Restricted Admin

Suitable for HR business partners or office managers, restricted admins manage user data within a specific scope. They cannot run imports, launch reviews, edit forms or change system settings, but they can manage users, run reports, and move users up or down steps in reviews (and more!).

Capabilities:

  • Manage user data within a specific scope (for example, departments or locations).

  • Limited system access — cannot run imports or change system settings.

  • Manage users, run reports, and access tools (for example, email campaigns, bulk objective creation, or moving users up and down a review).

Super Admin

Super admins have the highest level of access, with full control over the system. They can access all data, change user information, module data, AI system prompts and system settings, and make fundamental changes that affect all users.

Capabilities:

  • Access to all data across the system.

  • Change user information, module data, and system settings.

  • Change the instance name, reconfigure module titles, and run imports.
