The Perifit Milk Storage Bag is designed to make storing your milk safe, simple, and convenient. Made from 100% food-grade BPA-free silicone, it’s a reusable and eco-friendly alternative to disposable storage bags.
Cleaning before first use
To ensure your baby's safety, it’s important to clean and disinfect the storage bag properly before using it for the first time. To do this, you can either place it in a steam sterilizer, or boil it in water for 5 minutes.
⚠️ Important: The plastic sealing strip should not be steamed or boiled. Wash it gently by hand with warm soapy water.
Daily cleaning and maintenance
After each use:
Rinse the bag with cool water immediately to remove milk residue.
Wash thoroughly with warm soapy water and a brush.
Let the bag air-dry completely before sealing or storing.
ℹ️ The silicone bag is dishwasher safe (top rack recommended).
❄️ Safe milk storage guidelines
When storing breast milk:
Never heat milk in the microwave, as it can create dangerous hot spots and damage nutrients.
To warm milk safely, place the bag in a bottle warmer, or a bowl of warm water.
Always test the milk temperature before feeding your baby.
Follow your local public health authority’s guidelines on safe breast milk storage times and recommended refrigeration and freezing practices.
⚠️ Do not re-freeze breast milk once it has been thawed. Always thaw frozen milk in the refrigerator and use it within the recommended time frame.
Recommended maximum milk storage times:
Room temperature (19°C to 22°C): up to 4–6 hours
Refrigerator (0°C to 4°C): up to 24 hours
Freezer (-18°C): up to 12 months
