Disconnection problems with the Perifit Pump application

Updated over 4 months ago

Disconnections when the application is open in the foreground of the mobile device

Here are a few tips to improve the quality of your connection:

  • Disconnect other external devices that may be connected to your device's Bluetooth.

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the Perifit Pump application.

  • You can try moving your smartphone up vertically and back and forth horizontally to find the best signal.

  • Remove obstacles between the breast pump and your device

  • Identify if your Pump resets by itself during a session. To do so look at the pump when it gets disconnected :
    - Does the pumping stop during this time ?
    - Does the LED blink and reset to the lowest intensity ?
If yes, then please contact customer support with a video of your Pump. On your video, make sure to show the LED of your Pump and keep your phone close to record the noise. You don’t have to put in on your breast for the video, you can place it on a table and launch a session.

  • Try a breast pump reset procedure by going to Settings → Breast pump information → Reset breast pump(s). Then press and hold the breast pump start button for 15 seconds and when the pump restarts, retry a connection.

Disconnections when the application is running in the background

We are aware of some problems with loss of connection on some cell phone models when the Perifit Pump application is running in the background. Causes may include outdated operating system versions, restricted battery settings, and/or insufficient memory.

Our team is actively working to find a permanent solution. In the meantime, here are a few tips:

  • Update your operating system.

  • Disable battery settings that restrict background applications.

  • Free up space on your phone and restart it regularly.

  • Update your breast pump firmware and application for optimum performance.

Thank you for your patience as we work to resolve this issue.
