As of June 28, 2025, it’s official: The European Accessibility Act (EAA) ♿️ is now in effect. For you, this means that digital products and services must be accessible if offered within the EU.

This includes your funnels. The good news? If you’re building with Perspective, you’re already well prepared. In this article, you’ll learn how to easily create EAA-compliant funnels – with no technical background required, and maximum impact.

Why accessibility matters for your funnels

Accessibility is more than just a legal requirement – it ensures that everyone can access and engage with your content.

Here’s why it matters:

  • Your funnels are accessible to screen reader users

  • Visitors using keyboard or voice navigation can move through your funnel intuitively

  • High contrast colors, clear structure, and semantic HTML improve the user experience – for everyone

  • And you stay compliant with the EAA

What Perspective has already done for you

We’ve taken care of the heavy lifting for you: our funnel technology is now fully aligned with WCAG 2.1 AA standards – which is exactly what the EAA requires.

These accessibility features are already built in:

  • Screen reader compatibility
Thanks to semantic HTML, language tags, and ARIA labels, your funnels are fully readable by screen readers – in both English and German.

  • Keyboard navigation
Whether with the tab key or voice control: anyone can move through your funnel, even without a mouse.

  • AI-generated alt texts
When you upload an image, we automatically generate a relevant alt text using AI – which you can edit anytime.

  • Strong contrast in default components
All fixed funnel elements (like cookie banners) are designed with sufficient contrast to meet accessibility requirements.

  • Clear labels for interactive elements
Every input field, button, and form element is properly labeled and fully accessible.

  • Top Lighthouse accessibility scores
Out of the box, your funnels score between 90 and 100 in the Lighthouse Accessibility audit.

What you should still keep in mind when designing your funnel

Perspective handles most of the accessibility work for you – but there are a few things to keep in mind when designing your own content:

  • Colors & contrast in custom blocks: If you set your own text and background colors, make sure there's enough contrast
→ Tip: Use Chrome Lighthouse to check it quickly

  • Alt text review: AI-generated descriptions are a great starting point – but you know your images best. Adjust them if needed

How to test your funnel for accessibility

  1. Open your funnel in Google Chrome

  2. Right-click → “Inspect” → Click the “Lighthouse” tab

  3. Select “Accessibility” and start the audit

  4. Target score: 90+ or 100

This quick test ensures your funnel not only looks good – but also meets legal accessibility standards.

Conclusion: You’re EAA-ready – and so are your funnels

The EAA is here – and your funnels are already prepared. Perspective gives you the technical foundation to create accessible, legally compliant, and user-friendly funnels. Get started now – and build funnels that everyone can use.

Looking ahead

Accessibility isn’t a one-off project – it’s an ongoing journey.
That’s why we’re continuously working to make our funnels even more accessible – from videos to language support to smart design checks in the editor.

Our goal is clear: Not only to meet legal requirements, but to create a more inclusive experience for everyone.

Stay tuned – and start building funnels today that are made for tomorrow.
