With the new phone number validation, your funnel will be even more effective! Instead of invalid or incorrect numbers, you will only receive genuine and relevant contacts. This means:
Higher lead quality: Only genuine telephone numbers are accepted.
Less spam & fakes: No more bots or typos.
More success with your campaigns: You get reliable contacts who are really interested in your offer.
How the advanced validation via SMS code works for your users
When visitors enter and submit their phone number in your funnel, a verification code is automatically sent to the specified number via SMS.
At the same time, a pop-up appears in the funnel asking the lead to enter the code to confirm their phone number.
As soon as the lead enters the verification code received, they are forwarded directly in the funnel. This ensures that only genuine and contactable phone numbers end up in your CRM. You can improve your lead quality with just one simple setting!
ℹ️ Even if the OTP verification fails, the form is still submitted – so you don’t lose any leads!
In your CRM, you’ll clearly see who completed the verification and who didn’t. This lets you follow up based on data and never miss an opportunity.
ℹ️ This feature is available from the Advanced Plan (Legacy) / Scale Plan (New) onwards. It can also be added via the Lead Qualification Suite.
How do I enable phone validation?
Go into your funnel
Add a form block or appointment/calendly block and make sure it contains a ‘phone’ field and click on the field
You now have three options:
1. No validation
2. Country code check (flag symbol): Based on the country code used, this ensures that a phone number entered has the correct format
3. Extended validation via SMS code (sign symbol, available from the Advanced Plan (Legacy) / Expand Plan (New) onwards. It can also be added via the Lead Qualification Suite.): Telephone numbers are validated with an SMS confirmation code.
Does phone validation work with the Calendly Block?
When using the validation with the phone field you are able to automatically populate the number into the phone field of your calend.ly invite. If you don’t have a phone field on your calend.ly invite, the phone number will simply populate into a free text field.
You can find more information about our Calendly integration here.
Can visitors enter in phone numbers with 00 instead of +49?
Yes, our phone validation feature does support visitors who enter 00 instead of +49 when entering their phone number.
Do I need to manually set the default country code for phone number validation?
No. The country code is automatically determined from the user’s browser settings. This means different users will automatically see the correct default country, so there’s no need to configure it manually.
