Farms & Fields is where you manage your company details, land farms, paddocks, areas and boundaries.
The Map is the main day-to-day view for opening paddocks and viewing plans, soil, yield, livestock and history.

Total area and arable area
Every paddock has Total area, which follows its fence-line boundary, and can also have an optional Arable area, which is the hectares actually cropped. Add or edit the value under More → Farms & Fields → paddock → Edit.
Plan Studio, crop plans, product requirements, costs per hectare, default completion area, yield per hectare and Phase Agent rate calculations use the arable area when it is present. Boundaries, map labels, farm totals and livestock stocking rates continue to use total area. A blank arable area means the whole paddock is cropped, so existing paddocks do not change until you enter one.
The boundary-import review for KML, KMZ, GeoJSON or zipped shapefiles also includes an Arable area box for each paddock. Use it when the imported fence-line area includes timber, dams or grazing country that will not be sown.
Import from CNH FieldOps
Connect More → Setup & Imports → CNH FieldOps, then open More → Farms & Fields → Import From CNH. CNH FieldOps is the account used by Case IH, New Holland and STEYR.
Select the source paddocks, choose the Phase farm and review the boundary before importing. Boundary holes such as dams remain holes rather than separate paddocks. Phase can also read fleet engine hours for service reminders. CNH does not currently provide completed work or yield-map imports in Phase; do not use the connection expecting those records. John Deere and CNH links can coexist without one overwriting the other.
Harvested paddocks on the map
After a paddock's harvest is marked done, the default farm map shows that season as finished: the boundary becomes white and dashed, the fill fades, and the label can show the harvested yield, such as Harvested · 4.2 t/ha.
The paddock stays in that finished state until a later season has a crop plan. Switching back to an earlier season still shows that season's own result. Soil, Crop Vigour, livestock and weather overlays continue to use their normal colours and are not changed by the harvested styling.
Merge two fields
Open More → Farms & Fields.
Find either paddock and select Merge.
Under Main field to keep, choose the record you trust most.
Under Field to merge in, choose the second paddock.
Enter the merged field name and review the boundary and calculated area.
Choose whether to bring across the second field's crop plans and planned activities.
Choose whether to bring across its history and the linked records shown in the merge preview.
Select Merge fields.
The main field keeps its record. Phase updates its boundary and area, moves the selected data, and then deletes the second field.
If you move history and linked records, Phase also requires the second field's crop plans to be moved. Review the record counts shown in the merge window before confirming.
Important merge checks
Keep the field with the most trusted name, boundary and record history as the main field.
Confirm that the preview boundary covers the intended combined paddock.
Check the new area and merged name.
Review plans, completed work, soil, yield and Notes after the merge.
The second field is deleted after its selected data is moved, so do not confirm until the choices are correct.
Only continue when the preview boundary and New area correctly cover the intended combined paddock. Boundaries that do not share a clean edge can preview only one ring or an unsuitable outer shape. If the preview is wrong, cancel and redraw or re-import the boundaries before trying again.
The merge does not combine every field-level record. The second field's top-level Notes text is not copied. Notes, livestock records, Jobs and Documents remain in Phase but lose their link to the deleted field. Zones and prescriptions never move and are removed when the second field is deleted. Plans or history you choose not to move are also removed with the second field.
If the main field already has a plan for the same season, moving the second field's plan can leave duplicate activities. Review every affected season after the merge and remove only the duplicates you have confirmed.
If a merge reports an error partway through, stop and check both fields and their linked records before retrying. Record moves happen in stages and a failed merge may have completed only some stages.
Split one field into two
Open More → Farms & Fields.
Find the paddock and select Split.
Draw or adjust the two new boundaries.
Name both new fields and check their areas.
Leave Keep crop plans on both new fields on if both new fields should receive a copy of the source plans, activities and products. Turn it off to rebuild them manually.
Confirm the split.
Phase replaces the original field with the two new fields. Soil data is associated with the new boundary it falls inside where location data is available.
In Phase, paddocks and fields are managed from the same Farms & Fields area, so the merge fields tool is also how you merge paddocks.
If a paddock does not appear on the map
Check that:
The paddock has a boundary or location.
You are viewing the correct farm or organisation.
You have selected the correct season where season-specific records are involved.
Start fresh while keeping paddock boundaries
To remove work records, including completed work, use More → Organisation → Delete work records. Choose the property and season scope, select the work categories and review the deletion summary before confirming. The whole company account scope is available. Farms, fields and paddock boundaries are kept. Large cleanups can take around 10 minutes.
Another way to restart a season is to delete that season and recreate it. Check what will be removed before confirming. Delete work records clears the selected work categories; it does not mean every type of data in Phase is removed.
A broader global delete also exists. If you want to keep paddock boundaries, use the work-record cleanup above and check its scope; do not delete the farms or fields themselves.
